After the arrival in Cairns in the morning of September 5th we just wanted to get some sleep.
In the afternoon we went some sightseeing in Cairns and here you can see some impressions from that lovely city.
The next day we went to see Kuranda. To do this we took the scenic railway which runs through rainforest and along some nice waterfalls. The way back we took the Skyrail which runs over the rainforerst and you can hear the birds and enjoy the spectacular view.
On September 8th we took a tour to the Daintree
National Park and to Cape Tribulation.

The river cruise is marvelous.
The next early morning (we had to get up at about 5:00 am) we took a tour to see the platypus. This weird animal is quite shy but thanks to our experienced guide we had a great time seeing the platypus swimming in the natural environment.
As we like diving, there is no better place to do so. The Great Barrier Reef was awesome. Unfortunately we only had three days to enjoy the magnificent wildlife.
